Purity Your Skin Will Appreciate

Full Disclosure of Every Ingredient, Additive and Preservative

In The Potter’s Hand Inc. offers full disclosure of every ingredient, additive and preservative used in the products because we believe that you have the right to know what you are using on your skin. This policy of disclosure and transparency gives you the opportunity to avoid your allergens, to make the best choice for yourself and protect your heath.

Most chemical compounds applied to the skin in the form of lotion, soap, hair care or skin care products can be absorbed through the skin and affect the body. Perfumes and perfume oils are especially problematic since they can also be absorbed by breathing in the aromatic chemicals they contain. Gluten, allergens or chemicals in items used on the hands, lips or face may cause problems for sensitive individuals when inadvertently transferred to the mouth and ingested.

When you purchase other brands of skincare, hair care, spa, bath or baby products there may also be hidden or unintentional ingredients in the products. These un-declared ingredients can be troublesome for your skin and even dangerous for those with severe allergies, celiac disease, asthma or chemical sensitivities.

There are no hidden ingredients in the products produced by In The Potter’s Hand Inc.

The team at In The Potter’s Hand Inc. believes that anything used on the skin or hair needs to be transparent in ingredients, along with being as natural, pure and beneficial as possible. Each product, in all three of our product lines: Dakota Free, Millennial Essentials and Gluten-Free Savonnerie Products, have been formulated with this principle in mind, using skin friendly ingredients that work together to provide an effective alternative to common products that do not possess these attributes.

Produced in a Dedicated Gluten-Free Facility & Laboratory Tested

We work hard to preserve the integrity of our products and as a result Dakota Free, Millennial Essentials and Gluten-Free Savonnerie Products are different than other skin care or bath product lines available.

In addition to being free of undesirable and undeclared ingredients, the products comply with Feingold Standards, are never tested on animals, are biodegradable, vegetarian and made in the USA.

Isolation of Production to Prevent Cross Contamination

In The Potter’s Hand Inc. is a company committed to eliminating gluten, skin irritating chemicals and potential allergens from our product lines.  We have augmented our policies of full disclosure and allergen tracking with this carefully designed production method to prevent cross-contamination between the products.

We are committed to providing our customers with complete and accurate allergen information.  Every product manufactured by In the Potter’s Hand Inc has the following allergen profile:

  • No Perfumes
  • No Synthetic Fragrance
  • No Pesticides / DEET
  • No Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
  • No Mineral Oil
  • No Aluminum or Alum
  • No Phthalates
  • No Parabens
  • No Drying Alcohols
  • No Latex
  • No Synthetic Flavoring
  • No Dyes or Colorings
  • No Gluten or Related Grains
  • No Animal By-products
  • No Casein or Milk
  • No Fish or Shellfish
  • No Eggs
  • No Peanuts

Most commercial products will include some ingredients not declared on their ingredient listing.  The following list shows you examples of how unintended and undeclared ingredients may inadvertently end up in other brands of skin care or bath products:

  • Ingredients from one product can contaminate another product during production; a potential problem if several products are made using the same equipment or in close proximity to one another.
  • Solvents, grain alcohol or propylene glycol are often used in the processing of herbal extracts and may remain, unlisted in the final product.
  • Herbs, herbal extracts and some hydrosols also require preservation and these preservatives may not be listed separately on a product's ingredient list.
  • Combinations of preservatives, emulsifiers, or other chemicals are sometimes listed under a single, unfamiliar brand name instead of by their individual chemical names.
  • Antioxidants are sometimes added to plant oils by the manufacturer. These antioxidants extend shelf life and may not be listed on the label. Some of the more common antioxidants used in this way are vitamin E, wheat germ oil, rosemary oleoresin and dodecyl gallate.

Occurrences such as these are not of interest to everyone, but are vitally important to those with health problems triggered or aggravated by specific chemicals, ingredients or plants. In addition to a complete ingredient listing, you will find an attribute and allergen checklist on each individual product page to help you choose the right item for your specific need.

Our policy of full disclosure, our practice of allergen tracking, along with our isolation of production methods remain unmatched in the industry and are the reason that you can use Dakota Free, Millennial Essentials and Gluten-Free Savonnerie products with confidence.  These attributes, along with the high quality and product effectiveness of all In The Potter’s Hand Inc products define who we are and we expect that your skin and body will notice that difference.
